| More stupidity by adolescents using a device that launches projectiles Baby Struck In Face By Paintball - Connecticut News Story - WFSB Hartford Baby Struck In Face By Paintball Paintball Fired From Passing Car POSTED: 10:21 am EDT June 27, 2008 UPDATED: 11:05 am EDT June 27, 2008 Baby Struck In Face By Paintball GUILFORD, Conn. -- A baby girl was struck in the face by a paintball while sitting in a parked car with her mother in Guilford on Thursday. Police said the 1-year-old child was being fed by her mother inside a parked vehicle in the parking lot of the CVS store on Boston Post Road around 2 p.m. Police said orange paintballs were fired out of a passing vehicle. Several unoccupied vehicles were struck before the paintball hit the child, according to police. Paramedics treated the baby, who suffered a welt on the side of her face, at the scene. Police said no witnesses have yet come forward, and that no description of the vehicle involved is available. Anyone with information regarding the investigation is urged to contact Officer Juan Mulero at the Guilford Police Department by dialing 203-453-8061 or at the department's anonymous tip line 203-453-8240.

| Sad thing is do those kids even know they hit the baby? Sounds like they were out being punk kids. They may not even know they actually hit the baby. Could have thought that it was just another parked car. Then again maybe they do. I don't feel bad for the little punks. It is just a matter of time. You don't need an eyewitness for this. They will brag and they will get caught. |

| A baby could lose a lot more than an eye from a paintball to the head. babbies skulls have not yet fully grown and closed in to protect the brain. if a paintball fired even at "legal" velocities hit a baby in the soft areas of the head, the result could easily be death or severe brain damage. |
