Ha ha this thread again... Well, I remember California Magnums in a 200 rd. box and solder on direct feed adaptors with a little sight groove milled in.

When California Magnum came in a black shell and 20 colored shells for "tracer rounds" made them harder to dodge but it's not like they broke anyhow.

When the field hot glued your external velocity adjuster in place after chronoing, and it was against the rules to carry matches or a lighter on the field to heat up your tank. Course that interfered with the smoking while playing part.

When the ref was packing a real handgun for "Just in case."

- when a mask was just a fancy word for shop goggles
- when the guy with a semi was a rich guy with an accent and was the only one on this Island
- when a Pirahna LB w/ AT and a 7oz tank was a top end rental
- when getting hit in the forehead left a welt the size of a golfball and lasted a few days
- explaining to the Seargent Major why I had the goofy welt (along with 9 other members of my Platoon)

6yrs ago this was a new thread, but you have to admit there are some neat points added over the years.
