CCM Fan
I remember when pumps were a mod.
When most people believed that Constant Air meant the marker shot harder.
When Silencers were the norm - and legal.
When cut masks were the norm.
When tourney guys wore no face masks and rat tail squeegies in thier head band.
When I first ran into semi-autos... and refused to play with one for 5+ years.
When I was a bad ***.

I remember....

when I could run for more than 40 feet.
when I had balls (I'm married now).
when ZAP never was good paint (and still isn't).
why you shouldn't shoot a paintball in the toilet.
when a Woodstalk mask protected your face.
having a telescoping squeegie that fits is a paint tube (I still have one)

I remember...

...when everyone played with either a Splatmaster or a Nelspot 007.
...when the Bushmaster pump kits came out and everyone was ooooing and aahhhing.
...the look on the field owner's face after playing for the first time with a constant air tank on my Phantom and told him I shot 700 rounds that day <ka-CHING!> (I was one of the first ones to have one there).
...I could load ALL my gear plus two friends and ALL their gear all in the back "trunk" area of my CJ-7 Jeep.
...I only had a single paintball gun (very vague, OLD memory....).

I remember when players usually fell into two groups:

1. Nel-Spot or PMI fan.
2. Nelson or RP Scherer fan.

Constant air devotee vs. 12 gram fanboy came later on...

when sure bull was great paint.
when RPS, Nelspot , and Survival were the only paint.
When Zap was made by Brass Eagle and came in 50 rnd pods.
PMI Disposable Pods
Bait switch
When Jeff Purlmutter was pictured in APG with a Budwiser beer.

I remember.....

forgetting that you had to unscrew the tube of Nelson paint to get it out of a Nelspot.

nice bruises from cocking the Nelspot.

the taste of oil base paint.

that Wild Geese attack in a 'V' formation.

when Wolfs Lair was scary.

when referees actually moved.

I remember...

... when we adjusted our velocities by how much bark the paintballs broke off a tree.

... when all the paintball magazines weren't over half full of advertisments and the rest just speedball and tournament coverage.

I haven't been playing anywhere near as long as you guys but I still have some good old memories.

I remember...

...when I thought HPA shot harder so we forced a kid to use CO2 on his brand new, high tech Shoebox Shocker, and he froze it up.

...when Tippmann SL-68 II's were still being sold new. I should have bought one... dang...

...when I thought 98 Customs shot really fast.

...when I thought I was a sniper with my 14" barrel on my spyder.
