Refillable 30,45 and 60 gram CO2

Anyone use RAP4 refillable CO2 tanks? The have standard threading and are anti siphoned(I think) with an on/off on the end. I like the idea of a refillable 30 gram but it seems to be about the same size and wieght as a 3.5 oz.

3.5 ounces = 99.223 grams

30 grams = 1.058 ounces

If it was the same size it wouldn't make much sense to buy the 30 gram one. It would be nice if they had bigger pictures on the web site, or even a size comparison chart. Maybe they do, I just didn't look that hard (c:

Here's pics of my zeus outfitted with a 3.5 and a 30gram for comparison.

It's definitely smaller and has the on/off too. It's as heavy as the 3.5 ozer though.

How is that tiny thing as heavy as a 3.5? Is it made out of steel?

Knowing how uncommon 3.5oz tanks are, which makes it difficult for fill station operators, exactly how difficult is it to fill that 30g?
What about Gameface Air source? http://www.gamefacepaintball.com/air.html
Has anyone ever tried using it with an on/off? And, has anyone tried refilling it?

I'm not intending to hijack this thread in regards to my question, but since we're on the subject of small tanks, I thought the Gameface product would be a good comparison.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...

They sell a fill station to fill from any CO2 tank, 9, 12, 20 oz. Although one could be made cheaper. I have a 20# and a fill station so no worries there. The GameFace looks to be a disposible. RAP4 has those too but are expensive.

I think i'll buy one just out of curiosity.

They are disposable. Used one three or four years back just so I could maybe recycle the empty some how.
Sure would make a nice little back bottle

Errr, let's see...

The rap4 tanks are not exactly anti-siphon in fact they don't use a pin valve, instead the knob on the far end is an on/off that's piped through the center.
They dont have a standard burst disk, the orings in the on/off perform this function more expensively. Because they don't have a burst disk showing many places won't fill them, that's why people piggyback them from, in my case, a 20ozer. I get about three fills that produce 50 or so shots from my zeus and then it drops off to 20 unless I top off the 20ozer. It is steel and built like a brick outhouse.

The spare air type gameface cylinders(crosman makes one too) are steel and weigh as much as the rap4 tank.

I like the catalina 3.5 the best on my pistol, even though I had to go with a higher scope ring it balances as well. It gives a ton of shots.
Oddly I found that with these tanks I actually ran out of air on the field once in a while. Whereas I can carry as many 12gs as I could possibly use, I could only carry a few of each of these, plus at $50 a pop for the Rap4 30g and $25 average on ebay for the 3.5 I only bought a few of each. I planned to keep buying more of whichever I liked best, but I have to admit 12grams are way better for my needs(pistols) than either of these so I stick with 12gs now and my tanks wait for the next project.
