Leaky Pure Energy tanks

I have a few 4500 psi Pure Energy tanks that I have aquired through the last year or two and they are both leaking from the regs. Is there any place I can find instructions on rebuilding the regs?
Thanks,
-Dan

The leak deveolopes around the samll Oring. I have tried everything even AM on off O rings/seats. Nothing will fix the POS PE regs. My solution, since my tank is steel, ditch the PE valve and just use the tank as a CO2 tank.

Guess I will just have to replace the regs on both of them. They are actually both carbon fiber based tanks.
Anyone have any favorite standard threaded regs?

The regs are good. Alot of people will reccomend crossfire but they arent rebuildable at all. Go with a gorilla air reg not sure the link to their site. Good stuff, rebuildable and reasonably priced.

The O ring that is almost always the problem is simply the O ring that the pin presses onto to make a seal. You remove the 2 set screws on the top of the reg and thread it off <when EMPTY!!> EMPTY okay duh. The O ring is in the top you just removed, you will see the pin and the surface the O Ring seals on.

Almost always..for the first time, you can simply flip this O ring over and your good for quite a very long time. Its an easy rebuild, and the regs arent actually bad at all. Its a little white O ring.

I suggest flipping it over first and seeing if you have any problems..i dont think you will. If you dont, your good to go!

There not really bad!

what if your tank doesn't have set screws in the reg?

how do you get the reg off the tank?

The older models that dont have set screws and arent that pewtery color arent made to be user rebuldable. They arent too nice and I cant really try and defend them Replace with gorilla air reg :P
