There was a splatmaster clone that shot .555 plastic or rubber balls...

Hmmmmmm... I know where at least one of them is.

PMI and .55 paint

"I wondered when I saw that article too, are they shooting for the prime 7 to 10 year old demographic?"

Acording to some info I saw at the field this is exactly what they are doing!!! They even had jr sized bunkers and youth sized mask and other sized down gear in with it to target the younger players & families.

My favorite part of this gun is....the hopper! It has a funnel-like adapter on it so that it can also work w/ .68. That would make a sweet alternative to the flimsy BE jobbers for us pumpers.

Q: Does the Maxx 55 have its own loader?

A: The specially designed loader for the Maxx 55 works with .55 caliber paintballs and holds 200 balls. It is designed so that it holds the same number of balls a .68 caliber pod will hold when filled with .55 caliber balls. At this time, the loader is not motorized.

The loader has a very clever insert that looks like a funnel. You can pop the insert in, or out, and change the loader so it works with .55 caliber or .68 caliber. With .68 caliber it holds 100 balls. The loader comes with the insert installed.

Hmmm That loader might just be the hot lick!!!

Hurricanes are far more powerful then the storms the sky creates on its own. They are just another reason the ocean must be destroyed.

I think there might be some use to design a marker just around the fact that pmi is going to make fresh paint in non .68 cal

I'm with agentsmith on the pistol thing. It's exciting to have a true to spec compact pistol. As long as they let you shoot at a high enough fps to make it break. They used to chrono small calibers at higher fps because thay knew it was still safe, and that they required it to work well. I don't see how the insurance people could argue the point that different calibers aren't safe if they had managed to pull it off for years beforehand with .43, .62, and .50 paint. I thought hells survivors allows .43 so it must not be insurance unfriendly. And speaking of marketing new cal paint, some more .62 would be nice...
