Disappointed in the APG Buyers Guide

Your thoughts on the New Buyers Guide.

For me it was fun to look at but I can't help but be disappointed in the fact the custom guys were left out ie: Earon Carter full line of pump goodness, mOngo's Redux, The new Ghost among others were left out but crap like the Arrow Precision Inferno and other Walmart Crap was included.

On the flip side I was glad to see Glenns near full line of Palmers was included as were CC Phantoms even a CCM S-6. I know APG caters to newbies but it would be nice if a Buyers Guide included the custom one off's.

Part of being a newbie is dreaming of owning a custom marker. I spent may a night pondering the old DD68 ad back in the day. I guess I have to wonder if advertising dollars dictate what goes into something like this.

Your thoughts....

I had one of those, what? 7 and a half years ago or so? Unless the quality has gone down significantly it was far from crap, and had one of the nicest, snappiest, trigger pulls I'd ever felt up to that point.

I'd figure anyone who can get you a new-style sterling can get you an inferno. I may be wrong on that one though.

When I bought mine it was in Colorado Springs (back when we lived in Monument, CO), but my counter point is that outside of this forum most of that high end custom stuff is probably mostly unheard of...

Your thoughts....
We didn't pay anything. We do not have an advertising budget. We have in the past sent writers a gun and other small items to write about. Most magazines are always on the lookout for new stuff to write about. Some people send the items back, some donate it to fields or some event and some keep them. Some are sent out to people with orders to "shoot to destruction" .We have not received any of those back as of yet.

Almost 100% of our sales are word of mouth.

Of course E-bay has been a form of advertising for us.It has allowed us to show all of our products and almost instantly show new products.

We are totally appreciative of any magazine that writes about our products.I don't think most people know how small CCM is compaired to the larger companies.I know one of the larger companies got a little upset with us when they discovered we put out more markers in a year than they do in a day. And that's no joke.( well,at least the quanity is no joke)
