Fixed.

You really have to slam them down.
Or what you could do is hold the whole assembly in your hand, let the 12g sit on the bottom of the tube, then very quickly jerk it, and them up.
That'll send it flying of sure.

Oh! i have a better idea! at the bottom of the tube, get a cap and put a sharp (longish) rod right the middle. Then put a spring around it, and weld it to both the cap and the tube. Put the 12g in, pull back the cap with the spring, let go, and watch 'em fly!
