I play(as many of you may know) with my zeus G2 as a primary and my Sheridan P68sc as backup pretty much all the time(except for pump only games really).
I've modified my zeus quite a bit, with a new loading system and a cutout for the co2. I've played a game or two with most of the pistols made up to today(never used a FAST, I've shot enough Illustrators to get the idea, though.)
The only pistol left on my wish list is a Palmer Squall, unfortunately the setup I would desire bring the cost to near $1000, so it will have to wait a while yet

I'm a dyed-in-the-wool fan of the 45 grip frame, I believe there's a reason it's available for everything from hammer pumps to angel flys. The grip on the overlord types(IMO) should be swapped out for a 45 grip, then pointability and instinctive shooting will improve.

I completely agree, the 45 grip is the most beautiful thing ever designed for the human hand. I have never owned a gun without one nor would I wish to, even if I do sometimes have to shell out a few more bucks on certain models. Besides the comfort and control benefiets they also happen to look dead sexy when chromed.

The first gun I ever used in a game was a Splatmaster. Besides the occasional use of a 3357 I havent used pistols much. I cary a Core XZ some of the time, and the only time I used it in a game I had problems (my own fault). I lost the feed cap, and destroyed the 12gr seal.
I would like to get more use out of it, but currently I only get 8-9 shots per 12gr. For a main gun, that is not too efficient. If i got more shots per 12gr, I would use it all the time because it shoots very nice.

Stechele,
I've seen this problem in zeus' before, too. There's actually kind of a list of things that can cause it, but I'm not sure how deeply you've gotten into trying to fix it.
In one case a guy had an old zeus G1( the most like your Core of the Armotechs) and when I shook it with no magazine on(and no co2 in) I could hear the spring in front of the cupseal make a little rattle, especially when I tapped it barrel-down into my palm. It turned out that during a reassembly he had pushed the brass pierce pin part in too far and had thought nothing of it, but he had crushed the spring in front of the cupseal and since it wasn't tight it was letting the cupseal bounce a bit before airflow pushed it tight and sealed it again. I stretched the spring a bit and he was suddenly getting 9 or 10 more shots per co2.
As I said that was only one thing of a list. If you'd like to start a 'help me fix my ZX' thread I'm sure we could get you going strong with all the folks that have them now. Mine consistently gets over 20 shots, even with temps in the low40s recently.

Thanks for the help, and I think I might do that.
