Cool new A5/X7 Barrel attachment

Saw this video from Mike at Techpb and thought it was a interesting product

YouTube - A-5 / X-7 Prototype MBAD Multiple Barrel Attachment Device

Kinda makes me wish I had an X7 still

I can see a lot of people not chronoing properly if they are using multiple barrels. Cool idea, but besides pairing an Apex and non-Apex style barrel (and you could just flip down the rubber ramp), is there really any point?

I can see one useful point...Instead of cleaning a barrel break you could just rotate barrels

Loudened... unloudened.... Loudened... unloudened.... Loudened... unloudened....

Hehe.... Neat idea but really pointless

Why? You'll have to re-chrono every time you swap barrels or chrono so one barrel shoots well and the other has low velocity. Another thing is that you'll never ever need a second barrel in 99% of situations. The only time I EVER need a backup barrel is when I break a ball and don't have a squeegie. Just carry a swab and you're good.

Appreciate the ingenuity, even if you don't see the point. No need to knock it.

Agreed. I'd never use/own one, but it IS a neat idea, and if there's a market for it, why not?

Did he really say "Long barrel for extra range"?

Yup, I really didn't want to bring it up. The only real purpose a long barrel has is so you can stick it through bushes and brush.

Well a 14" barrel technically shoots the ball 2" farther from the breech than a 12" barrel. :bang:

Ingenious Yes, useful No (IMO).
