no gloves/cup/pads for me

Usually 2 shirts, pair of boxer shorts, basketball shorts, and then either regular shorts or pants rolled up to capris.

Sometimes I wear a hat, sometimes I wear a buff, sometimes no headwear.

My old biking motto carries over to paintball. "If you're not bleeding, you're not having enough fun". We used to scream that before we hit any hard runs.

Just a mask and bandu for me...

However I have been increasly wanting a nice set of kneepads. The field we play at has tons of jagged rocks nicely hidden under about 400 years worth of pine needles.

I usually wear kneepads since the first time I ever played I smashed my kneecap pretty good on a boulder (we played in a quarry/gravel pit). I also wear long sleeves, gloves, a hat, and sometimes a neck protector. I bought some padded underwear (can't stand cups) but they disappeared before I had a chance to use them. Its cool enough in the summer where we play that I can get away with wearing plenty of gear without overheating too much.

I always use set of gogs, a green bandana tied headwrap style, and a pair of green/black nomex U.S. vehicle crewman's gloves. Gotta love the way the leather grips. Plus they're nice and long so you can slap people with them when you want a duel .

Slider shorts, empire vents kneepads (the best and most stay-uppy) for sliding.

Gloves and a neck protector because getting shot in those places SUCKS - and I don't care what any of you "manly men" say. I play hard and up close and getting shot in the unprotected adams apple from 5 feet away is not my idea of a good time. Happened to me once and never will again. Same reason why I stopped wearing goggles-only without a facemask. Getting shot in the face sucks too.

I never play without kneepads if I can help it, and I'll usually wear arm pads, depending on the weather.

Kneepads are crucial in playing to the fullest of my abilities. If I'm not wearing them, I'm much more careful when moving and taking bunkers, which makes me slower.

And Jakal, I feel your pain as far as fullmasks go. I had a phase where I'd referee constantly with only Spectra goggles. My first nose shot made me question things a bit, and a chinshot sent me crying back to my flex bottoms.

I fell on a rock the size of a golf ball on my knee 2 years ago, Iím finally to the point to ware I can sleep without my knee brace on. Knee pads are as important as my mask to me. As far as the family jewels I ware two 100 rnd pods in the front... I had a "graze" once..... once.
