The Phantom Revolution, they do exist!

At SPE this year Mike Cassady brought a Revolution to show everyone. I had only heard tales and never seen one in person. All I have to say is WOW. If he would have perfected it, it would have predated the lightest semis by 14 years or so. He actually aired it up and fired it, I missed that part, but the important part is the pics. Now, DO NOT call Mike and bug him about one, or borrowing it or anything like that (no it isnt available for display at any museum or collection either). They are not available for any price, and he will not produce any for sale, for any reason. DONT bug the man. He may kill me for posting the pictures, if he asks, tell him his "Son" posted them................

Note that the large round chamber on the back is for 2 9 volts only, all the important stuff in in the body. And there is no airline, its direct from the bottomline thru the grip into the body. Take that SP! This was developed starting in 94 IIRC.

Click on pics to make larger.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...
tlane77 He's got a woody for your woods.

There is a roll pin there back in the middle of the body, and you can see that the housing in the back is not concentric.

I have an ide ahow the things works... well, more just a theory.

I know how it works. Mike was awesome enough to air it up, shoot it, and disassemble it for a select few.

The large round thing in the rear just holds the 2 9 volts. There is an electric drive motor that turns the roto breach kinda thing (stays open then rotates to the right to close off the feed), which feeds the ball. It has a boltless firing system. What I didnt get to see or ask him about was what he had to actually release the air to fire it. There is a tiny microphone that hears the air and closes the breech right as it fires. And no regulator as far as I could tell.........

Hm. That one has a threaded barrel. Weren't all the older Phantoms unibody? Do you think he recreated one for gits and shiggles or to display?

No, reason I say this, the body is different than a standard Phantom body.......

Plus, Sal seen this one back in the day, he asked Mike to bring it, as its purple. (Sals the oldest member on Total Greif, he was at the tourney when Mike started selling them, and then bought them back.....)

Mike did say that there are 2 in England somewhere, that he hasnt been able to get back.
