Shipping To Canada

Has anyone ever shipped to Canada?

I have a potential ebay buyer interested....but i've heard some bad stories about shipping / tracking to ebay.

Has anyone here ever sold/shipped to Canada using either USPS or UPS?
I would assume UPS might be the more reliable/trackable method?

Thanks for any thoughts!

I have shipped to Canada many times using USPS and never had a problem. But you lose tracking at the border. I don’t do e-bay business yet and I have to say my customers have been great. So no worries from me.

I have no had much in the problem of recieving anything. (Other then customs charge) Just make sure you put the cost on the item. If you insure it don't insure it for 1000, if its worth 100. The receiver will be paying tax (15%) on the 1000.

I've marked my packages "pneumatic equipment". It's 100% true and accurate, and it seems to make things much less likely to be held than calling it "paintball guns"

as a canadian, there are many things you can do to make sure transactions go easier.

1. package securely: customs is much more apt to open something that rattles.

2. mark package using technical language. (pneumatic equipment, pneumatic feed equipment [evoIIhopper :D])

3. use USPS. period. even if you are getting a $1 pen from the US, UPS automatically charges a $30 brokerage fee, whereas USPS is far more reasonable around $10

If its opened at customs its automaticaly a 5 dollar charge I believe.

This sometimes happens, but never when I sent things. I have been told it is not a USPS issue, but either a customs one or the Canadian Postal System (or whatever they call it.. LOL). And this was told to me by a Canadian.

I have sent and received things in Canada (USA NORTH) with no problems other than slightly longer delivery time...I use USPS for everything.
