I wasn't aware that the G7 Fly had text messaging. I can see it now, flip open grips with full qwerty buttons, color screens with games! And myspace mobile!

how about making teams randomly swap guns? they all chrono in, set their guns in racks till the refs tell them to pick them up, with the refs at random having them swap guns.

I personally like the rule that an old indoor field had in the days of no chronos. To be able to use your own gun on their field, you had to be will to take a shot yourself from it. If you weren't willing to be shot with your own gun, it was prolly hot, and you had to use a rental. It should be the same now even with chrono. So handing out randomized guns might make you want to rethink the ramp board....

That'd sure give a new meaning to firing drills!

Or how about electronic countermeasures such as this:

The MCB contingent in the crowd sends a Bluetooth command to all guns on the field to fire at a rate of one ball every three seconds! Just imagine the higgledy-pigglety on the field!

As long as electronics are on the field I don't see any easy ways to stop the cheating.

You catch the ramping boards, they come up with trigger pull rythems to unluck the ramping so it's harder to tell.

You catch on to the "secret code" of trigger pulls, they switch to wireless control of the cheating modes from the stands.

You catch on to wireless crap, they put magnets in their gloves and hall effect sensors in the grips.

You catch on to the hall effect stuff, they get special paint with metal particles in the fill and an inductive prox sensor next to the anti-chop eyes.

You catch onto the inductive crap, they put a breathalyzer on the board and pour a bit of whiskey in their mouth before they start the game.

You catch on to the breathalyzer, they build in a GPS reciever that compares their intended path up the field (preprogrammed) to the actual location of the gun and disables the cheats if they stray from their path.

It would be even funnier if you use the bluetooth to blind the eyes on their marker as soon as it ramps. Call it the instablender mode.
