Sniper Tubes? (spec ops rant)

http://www.specialopspaintball.com/s...017&CAT=113203

Guess all those old 10 rounders are obsolete now... now you can have "Sniper Tubes."
(but look who makes these, they must have improved something ...)

I know that was really random, but I guess that's a lead in to this question, ...Am I the only one who is getting just a little worried about Spec Ops style marketing? It seems to me like they prey on the new players that want to be the uber l337 Sn1p0rz, and generally foster a wee bit too serious of an attitude for "playing soldier". I play scenario to have fun, so I definately don't think "milsim," "scenario," or "woodsball," is a bad thing at all, that is until you make it so serious that every other person in your company forums has something like "You can run but you'll only die tired," in their sig.

Opinions please? But play nice .

I've never been a big fan of mil-sim, but hey, to each his own.

But yeah... what's wrong with 10 rd. tubes? Not cool enough?

Hurricanes are far more powerful then the storms the sky creates on its own. They are just another reason the ocean must be destroyed.

Another interesting fact was I think I read on a Palmer's site that he never authorized his name to be used or ever made 10 round tubes....

I see what your saying. I've been wanting to buy a few of there products (A5-A2 kit thingie) but their marketing seems like a bit cheezy and too serious. Then again, if you want to talk about serious, just look at ops gear

You have a point about opsgear and paintball, but Opsgear has legitimate training programs for law enforcement and their website imo is definately geared toward training and LE/ Military clientele. I would bet they make more money selling to local PD and county SWAT teams.

Here's the thread. He (Glenn Palmer) doesn't make them and said that Spec Ops just buys the tubes from him.

Considering they cost 22 cents wholesale, at least they arn't whoring this product out. And I do agree with you when it comes to Spec Ops with their way with words.
