If they do ever start to stink, put a dryer sheet in each of your shoes. Works wonders for my work boots.

While you're not wearing them, right?

LOLS!

If you go to your local drugstore or even sporting goods store, they sell little hollow balls with air freshners that you can also put into your shoes.

Correct, lol.
My work boots reek something nasty when I get home. With dryer sheets I can't tell they're there.

Those would really hurt.

Sadly, I know people that would try to wear shoes with sheets or balls added, and I also know people that really need to wear shoes with sheets or balls added.

A company called InGenius has a line of socks that are both wool outer sock and liner sock sewn together. BRILLIANT. I wore those socks all the time when I did hard labor (like construction or anything requiring work boots), hiking, or paintballing. Change them out like normal socks, but they do do well. They're expensive (about $13/pair), however, but definitely have protected my feet from my Rothco combat boots (and they're comfy).
