Looking great. Don't know if I like the angle of the grip, but am willing to try it. So are you planning on cutting contender grips to fit the revolver or start from scratch?
The grips look too high or maybe the hammer looks too low. It looks like the hammer will be pressing into the skin between the thumb and index finger...kinda like 1911 hammer bites.

It might just be me, but I would be interested in some "empty" grip blanks as well. Something I could fill with epoxy and mold to my liking/chubby knuckles

I like DBAG for the win !!

Put me down as interested for this one Dukie. Since the wife's neck surgery the marker money cache is slooowly filling back up. Any time frame on when I'll need to come up with the 650 beans?

DBAG= Dukie's Bad-*** Gun?

:P

Would there be any way to have a strip of delrin that goes in between the barrel and feed tube? The gap makes it look a little... broken, IMO.

No earlier than september for the first 50%, the rest when I deliver and that depends on order quantity.

Sign me up for two, please. Any numbers, though I'd prefer they were consecutive.

For me there's only one name possible.

Paint Model Dragoon.

I missed your post earlier. Sorry, I didn't mean that the threading was optional, I just don't care which thread it is so long as I can easily reproduce it.

I feel that multiple bodies with different threads would be in order. No way will everyone agree on one thread type.
No two people can agree on anything in this place lol. A5 is an acme thread if I remember correctly ( I might be thinking of something else, damned if I can remember). Too much of a pain in the arse to reproduce by tap or machine. Cocker or phantom. One only, multiples add too much time and cost.

Thats true, there is your soucre for a polished body folks!

6061 it will be, 7075 isn't going to add any real benefits.

Looking at that you would almost think it might pinch your hand, but if it did you could strangle a large gator one handed. Those would need to be some really big hands. That being said it might need a little lip there to keep your hand from sliding up too far when cocking. I'll see when I make the wooden grip cut.

If you want to form your own grips:

-Wrap the marker in saran warp or similar.
-slather on a thin even layer of bodyfill and let it harden. make sure to slice it for removeal before its completely hard.
-put some more bodyfill in a sandwich bag.
-stick the sandwich bag on the grip and mold it to your hand.
-when it is rubbery hard remove the sandwich bag
-slice the grip so that you can remove it.
-leave it alone until its hard
-hit the surface with a rasp to smooth out the rough edges and get rid of the scum on the surface ( the scum instantly fills your sandpaper)
-surface sand until your happy.
-spraypaint o durocat the result. If you are really ambitious you can vacuum form veneer on top of the form you just made.
-stick em back on.

If you want to go straight to wood I can post up dimensions of the inner frame so that you could cut them yourself. I could make them too, but why spend moeny you don't really need too.

I have a set I made for my sniper in '88 still the perfect fit for my hands.

Edit:

Oh yeah the new list-

EDIT: Moved the list to page 1 so that its easier to find!
