Woot

Lol, a friend just handed me the first paintball marker I ever fired. It is a Stingray, complete with the 12g attachment and a warpig barrel. Come to think of it, I belive it was the first one I was shot with as well, to see if it hurt too much to want to play. Have no idea what it was chronoed at, with a red nelson brown box (splat?) paintball. He still had some of those left as well.

It is in perfect shape, almost like it came out of the box. I have not tried to air it up. I will try to get some pics of it up, cause I know you are all jealous and want one.

I still break out the 'ray now and then just to see how many of the kids go "You're gonna play.... with THAT?"

Then I watch as they cower in fear from the report of it firing.

I have a 12" barrel on it and haven't replaced the metal detent. It's worn a grooved into the bolt face but it still works fine and the sound is worth it hehe.

I still have my original Stingray as well. I have a 4" barrel on it, basically the old aluminium cut down and honed. I pull it out every not and then to freak people out. I have a plastic/acrylic venturi bolt in place of the stock aluminium, and an acrylic detent ball.

I need to get some pictures one day.

The Stingray was the marker I was considering picking up when I started playing.
I ended up getting a used Poison instead, loved that marker.
I'm in the middle of getting a Poison up and running, can't wait to get it out on the field.
I'd still like to get my original one back from my father one of these days.
