All the valve internals were the same for SMG's and 68 specials, for the 68 they cut the front off a SMG and added a direct feed, bolt and power tube with a plastic rod connecting the bolt to the hammer cocking knob. Plus they took out the FA trigger group.

But we sleeve our cannons, I imagine you could sleeve a .62 down to .55 although drilling a new barrel to fit the receiver might be easier if you don't mind a shorter barrel.

Well you can sleave the barrel, but before I elaborate on smg 60 convetions, it is a dead end. ALL conversions will cost around the same as a .68, or at least and quality conversion.
