ReDUX review (By proxy)

So, today cjottawa came out to the field, with his beautiful redux. Now I have seen some stock guys play before, mostly to my amusement to be honest, usually with a tinge of pity...

not today.

Chris, first game (if I recall) was playing the village, and racked up a sick 4 kills with 7 balls (I know, you guys are wondering how he missed 3 times?) He was so ball on ball today, some kid approached me and asked if I could put Chris in some kind of fort and it could be everyone against him! lol.

I took a few shots with it, and with that site it puts the balls exactly where you want. The machining is ridiculous, everything about this marker is tight, well thought out and nice to look at.

A fantastic marker, and apparently in the right hands a very effective marker.

When Chris would get shotout, the other team would let out a cheer and suddenly surge forward, as though he had been the only reason they stayed tucked into their bunkers.

The sound of that thing shooting was synonamous with the sound of "HIT!"

Great day, great marker.

Who's this Chris jerk anyway? Oh wait...

That was an awesome day for sure. Everything just clicked.

I forgot how much I loved a good set of iron sights. I put a two-dot millet-style sight on the back and a silver dot on the front post of the Redux - shots really do go where you point, the vast majority of the time. It makes shooting the Redux a treat.

Thanks for reffing Mar!

Better? I'll post a new photo when able showing the adjustable sights.

Here's an excerpt of a log entry I made for 9 March 2007, playing at "Action Commando Paintball" in Montreal:

I only had 9 paintballs left at the start of the last game and had 3 left at the end after getting 2 outs (a surrender and a hit).I'm starting to think I could play stock class and do well...
At the time I was shooting a Blazer with a 50-round Winchester hopper.

I wish I could afford one...I wish I was good enough at SC to warrant getting one

Some day maybe.
