Quoted for Truth. +/- 1 fps fluctuation just doesn't happen.

Beg to differ. I shot an AM Sentinel, Javelin barrel, Male Stabilizer, with marbs. +/-1 for 15 consecutive shots, excluding one jump of -3. This was on CO2, as well, without even so much as an antisiphon tube.

I hit a lot of fingers and elbows that day. Ask anyone on my team, as this was our first practice, and my job was to post up against snapshooters.

Tippmann carbine, everything honed/polished, Volumizer, Straight Co2 on a warm day with a high quality barrel and paint to match.

I got +/- 0fps at fox4 a few years ago.

Welp, time to sell everything and invest in Tippmann 68 Carbines.

That's exactly what I mean. People like to cherry-pick their data to reach a certain number for bragging rights. The gun does what it does. If they actually took the time to find what their gun's standard deviation is without excluding shots, then their numbers would be different.

Step one: More consistant tank

Step two: Your Sniper requires a bore / paint match to prevent rollouts - your Matrix does not. Oversize your barrel. What you do by matching paint is cause more issues with the odd "oversized" ball and friction of the barrel. If you oversize the barrel so that all the balls "float" down the barrel (or bounce around the same as the one before) you will eliminate this inconsistancy of the paint / bore match.

You know, I ALWAYS hear "Well this one time I..." or, "My buddy's gun..." or "This guy I saw at the field..." If your marker can do +/- 1 FPS, I'd love to see a vid of it over a chrony.

Always sacrifice a chicken before games, clean your gun only with the blood of a virgin, and and pray to balzak the dark underlord of paintball. Oh and buy every uber expensive silly assed part that comes out esp. if it is made from exotic materials such as gold, platinum, or titanium dipped in teflon. Yeah anything titanium is always worth blowing money on.
