I'm sure many of you have already seen it, but I think that some props are due.
.50 Caliber Ballistics Report - PbNation

Im sure the .50 caliber brain trust was up late last night trying to come up with a retort.

I liked this one:

"The issue remains that the "final batch" or "final formula" has not been finished, atleast thats what I was told when this thread came out

Math and Graphs for .50 cal - PbNation

Your data omits the denser rounds that are capable of exceeding .68 at 300fps. Once it is confirmed that the "final bs" they told me is done, and we have information on that, then we should exclude the rest of the data."

ANd then how people start giving him greif. WEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

All in all it looks like a pretty good thread...so far.

Carter.. shooting a hard target test is not enough to determine energy needed to break a ball. I will talk to you about what you need later.

It's good to see a graph, however I think .50 will have it's application and should not be discarded due to performance at lower velocities. Seriously, a pistol with a reasonable frame (magazine in grip) comes to mind. It's not what you have/have not, it's how you use it. As an argument, if you go by performance, why not use the highest rof gun you can get? Isn't it "better?"

A smaller package is an interesting concept. I'll pass judgement once I've tried it.

Yeah I got a good chuckle out of that as well. It is funny that they release their own youtube "fact sheet" on the performance of the paint and yet openly admit the formula isn't finished. There "Fact sheet" has no facts on it whatsoever.

I refute your "science" with paid endorsements and the lemming like characteristics of some of the players. I further refute your "science" with vague claims of a denser "formula" that I have not yet made. Furthermore, if your "science" continues to make these claims I will patent it and charge you to use it. Besides, the agglets aren't buying paint yet... their buying markers duh.

Screw you Lrrp. The test I am going to tell him about is actually an ASTM standard test method for other products. For once my engineering degree may come in handy.

And call me ignorant.. but who the Heck is Richmond that has been mentioned several times?
