Ask RAP and Kingman Training how successful .43/.40/11mm has been at changing mindsets in recreational paintball.

As a recreational sport/hobby, there's nothing inherently wrong with .68 @ 300fps. Why not just shoot .22 caliber paint at 1000 fps and make everyone wear Class IV armor?

On a different yet somewhat related note... has anyone compared the old 50cal paint to the 'new' stuff? Did Italia actually improve it?

Lonewolf,
Years ago I was talking with Ray Gong's (Top Gun PB in Jersey) air smith. He had spent some time with Bud Orr working on the snipers and on a whim they decided to try to see how fast they could make a cocker shoot. He said that after around 450fps the balls shot bullet straight and were denting the bottom of a 55 gal drum they were shooting into at about 50 yards.

I swear, every time I go to this place I want a new gun! There should be a disclaimer popping up when you click on the forum warning you about the hazard to your wallet!

The rumor mill is wrong on this one. CPX has over 100 rental Tippmanns and no plans on replacing them all right now.
