Ooooo.... then we can see how well our five minute conversion kit stacks up against the real thing!

my chrono test I was asking for was short distance. say thirty feet apart and from a bench rest position. shoot over them with both calibers and see if there is a bigger velocity drop between the .50

Great live demonstrations. It kinda seals the deal.

No need to explain the 'reaction', I do it to bugs on the highway right before they go splat. My wife looks at me funny when I do that.

People, who have influence, anrewilling to be spoon fed the hype and willing to regurgetate it back without thinking or questioning...
+1.. all in the name of 'saving the sport.'

They are saving themselves, not the game. The game existed before the industry (as we know it), to support it - people drilling barrels in the garage, etc. Think of all the cobbled up "this might work" things. Granted I don't want to be back there, but I have no need of the industry as it is today either - I don't need a DM10 to replace DM9, to replace a DM8 etc. There has to be a happy midway where the industry can exist, make a reasonable profit, and sell a reasonable product.

Now we can use the exact same tactic when we face entire teams of .50 players. Sure, they might be able to carry twice as much ammo, and get twice as many shots. But we will just stand 100 feet away and pick them off!

I see more and more folks claiming to be from back in the day, but I find that most of them were not there.
By this post I believe that HP was, as the smg had little value once you learned how to play against them.

Yeah, and if you ever saw his feet, you would be able to rest assured that Nick is, indeed, from "back in the day".

The question is, whether he is from the paleolithic or the neolithic.

Very true. As bad as things supposedly are right now for the "industry", the sport is far bigger than it was when I started playing 10 years ago.

On the other hand, paintball didn't die when everybody suddenly converted to electronic guns and force-fed hoppers.

By the way, according to posts on their Facebook page, GI Milsim is still claiming that the paint they had at Cup is not the final deal.

Sounds fishy to me, but we shall see, I guess.

So who in their right mind would debut a product that is supposed to be a revolution in paintball and not have a working, ready for the public product. Makes no sense. Good Luck with that marketing ploy

There is probably some truth in that. I'm sure they will continue to try to improve it and assuming they do, a "better" ball might be available in the future. There is certainly no law that says they can't try to improve upon what they have and they would be foolish not to do so.

Will improvements be major? Probably not.
