Back in college my paintball group converted to modified gunfighter class (10rnd stick feeds on pump or semi guns) to conserve money. Now my friend's little brother is going to a nearby college and I've been looking for a mid range pump for him to use when he joins us. While I have plenty of options on ebay and sales threads here, I've noticed that no one seems to make mid-range pump guns anymore. I can get Phantoms, Kaos, Snipers and Gargoyles or Blades and Talons, but there aren't any more $60-$80 pumps like Hornets, Traccers and Hammers. The closest I can come is an SL68II at $160ish, but that's more of a lower-high end price (though well worth it). I'm not looking for sales offers (believe me I'm looking at your threads) I'm just wondering if I'm missing a brand that still makes a mid-price marker and curious to see if anyone else interested in pump play is encountering the same problem.

With Redux, Carters, and Palmer's in the $1000+ range the Kaos is the high of low end at $150. Sad but true. Thats why I buy here!

I plan to buy here too, its just a bummer that new players (who aren't aware of this forum) are going to have a lot of trouble getting into pump play. I wonder if the resurgence in pump play will eventually encourage a manufacturer to get back into making Maverick/Traccer type guns.

$100-ish New Trracers / Mavericks $150 Azodin Kaos Pump $180 SL68-II $180 Check It V2 (WGP prostock) that's the lower end of pumps worth buying With the popularity of pump used guns just aren't as good a deal as they were a year ago. A lot of beat to hell snipers are going for $200. |

There are some used SL68-II here in the for sale section, under rare markers. You should be able to pick up a cocker based pump for around $100 used, here or ebay. Granted for $100 you will basically have a stock cocker + pump kit + WGP reg, but it shoots paint. Pick up a tracer or a PGP. |
