Is Amboyna Burl stable enough to make wrap around grips with? Favoritest wood EVER!!!

Has anyone heard back from Rifle?

Back in May 2011, I paid $50 for some custom cocobolo wood wraparound grips for an invert mini.

Cocobolo is a wood with a toxic oil in it and need to be sealed/treated before it gets varnished. When I got my grips, there were some blemishes on the urethane, so Rifle offered to me to redo the finishing on it. I shipped the grips back to him, even included $15 for Express return postage and... Never got the grips back.

It's been about 18 months. I did get a few PMs explaining that he was going through family issues and he kept promising to ship the grips, but he eventually he stopped communicating altogether.

Looks like 65$ I'll never get back.
