Ty - do you offer Freak boring? I'm thinking about doing to a barrel that's coming with a gun I'm purchasing. All your other work seems top-notch - I'd be more than comfortable with you doing it if you were considering it.

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them.”

Sorry Jordan, I do not have a lathe that is big enough to bore barrels.

Look up RedneckSniper here on MCB. He does Freak boring and very high quality work, from what I understand.

PM'd

PM'd you about a .675 insert.

Random question: Why offer a .680? I think that is between the silver .679 and the green .682 inserts, right? I figure people would just use one of those two unless they are going for a 'perfect' snug fit....

I offered a .680 because people wanted them. I would offer larger sizes, but I do not wish to compete with PPS.

I own a 0.679 but basically ignore it's existence for the above reasons.
Thank you cjottawa!

Has your order arrived?

Got my inserts finally. The weekend added some delay...

I don't actually own a Freak-compatible barrel for (possibly) obvious reasons, so I'll get back to everyone on that. I have some very specific testing in mind.

Castro #66... what do you have in mind, testing wise? I am interested and would love to have any data/information you acquire, assuming you would like to share.

The "crush test". :-p

I want to compare it to shorter control bores with the paint used these days. I want to personally understand the difference between different lengths of control bores when "cinched up" to smaller paint, to make sure that the standing science supports small ammo, too. Of course, the difference in materials will need to be considered, but I've never personally noticed a difference between brass and aluminum barrels' performance, only read about it. To be honest, one big reason I bought these from you is because I'll buy almost anything "Smart Parts", as long as it isn't made by Smart Parts... but you'll have to forgive me if that offends you in any way.
