Yeah... Just keep in mind that the cost of the mouthguard fluctuates based on how many I have on the shelf. They take a while to find, ya know!

It's in the plan. But I've got a list of other stuff to knock out first... Coolpros. And then aluminum mouthguards for the reVents. And THEN knocking off the last sacred part of the Vents system... If I get that far.

Well... The trick with those is the fasteners.

I actually have a couple NIB headarmor kits... So copying the throat guard would be easy peasy. But getting the molded plastic hooks is going to be nearly impossible.

What are your thoughts, Mr Smith?

May I give my 2 cents here?

If you can copy the foam part and the problem are just the small plastic "loops" used to mount them to the mouth piece, you could still do it and:

1- Use loose zip ties to hold the throat protector to the mouth piece; or
2- Use a different way to do it, like maybe a small bolt or something like the parts used to hold the soft ears to the JT frames

As you are re-inventing them, you can tweak the design in any way it's more feasible to you.

Well... That's my question for Agent Smith.

I assume that he plans on using the throat guard in conjunction with another mask. Would he be ok with having it solidly mounted with the little plastic fasteners that the soft ears mount with? Or does he need the throat guard to be floppy like the originals were?

If it's floppy, are zip ties acceptable?

It's tricky... The hardest part of any project is sourcing these little bits and pieces.

Meanwhile, barring a solution, I can easily write the program and cut the foam out in an afternoon.
