Do you know when the next batch will be available for purchase?

I will be working on them tomorrow, I'm hoping shortly but this time of year I'm sadly not always the one who decides where I get to spend all of my time that I'm not at my actual job

No problem. I appreciate that you even build them at all. I'm a full time engineer and grad student so I can appreciate the lack of time. Thanks for the fast response and look forward to getting a kit sometime.

Any word on a second batch? Wouldn't mind dropping one into one of my Vibes ... and I'm in need of a bracket for my mech Kit but that's another issue.

The second batch is in testing - a very long and sadly drawn out testing.

Any particular problems? I'm interested in revitalizing an old ion laying around :P

Yes and no. There were some machining/print mistakes that had to be taken care of after receiving the parts. In cleaning the parts after modifying them for a flat out missed feature (on the prints, but added manually and not on the solid model, so missed), I inadvertently stripped part of the ano (ultrasonic cleaner - just because the solution is meant for aluminum does NOT mean it is safe for anodized aluminum). So, after needing to reanodize parts anyway, I decided to do some dimensional tweaking to optimize performance. Testing those changes is underway, and WAY too drawn out.
