I planned to set up a small shop this winter to do my own. If all goes well I may offer it as a service. Watching this thread gave me a pretty good idea on how not to do it. I have found a few local shops but they have turned their nose up at paintball equipment and for what they are charging for the service (probably reasonable for actual margins) I can get the last of the equipment I need to do all of my guns and about 15 more. If nothing else it will be a fun winter project.

Stay away. Period.

I wanted to say that it took a year to get my guns done and it was worth the wait and so on. However the reality is that I opted for different colors then what i orginally waited a year to get (wanted multicam) and what I got was okay, not great. I sent him all the internals to re-assemble the guns since they had them for so long and I got back two boxes of parts. I only sent the parts since he said that they would be more then happy to re-assemble the guns since the job had taken so long and that they do that anyway (assemble the guns). So after a year i got two guns finished in the colors I didn't want (settled on) after set back after set back, which I can't really refinish again (without really stripping the hell out of them) and now I get to re-assemble both of them. So yes, stay the F@#!$ away.

Yes I waited a lot longer than what I thought it would be (when I first started talking to Tyler about my project, I think he quoted me somewhere around 2-3 weeks). I wound up waiting 2 months to get my parts back with the coating as well as my credit refunded.

Would I say stay away forever? Probably not. It sounds like life is happening very fast on his end, and the communication at this point does leave something to be desired. If he were to have a dedicated person/day/whatever to strictly paintball stuff, then I'd probably be willing to send another project. I'm glad he didn't pull a noxx and just up and disappear.

I'd rate my overall experience somewhere around a 5, just based on the missed due dates and lack of communication at some points.

I can still access my Freshbooks account.

And the gunsmithing website is still working. I think the air smithing part is gone.

I saw that last time too. Have Tyler re-submit your info to you. It worked for me.
