One way to tell is to spray aircraft stripper on it. If it comes off it was not Cerakote if it does not touch the finish it is most likely Cerakote.

When applied to the threads Cerakote will tend to get a slight gloss sheen to it as it starts to self lubricate. That is just one way to tell.

Wow this looks awesome, now I have some questions Voodoo...
1) I'm loving the the lollypop purple, but do you have a more bright green than highland green? I am wanting to do a Joker colour scheme on my phantom.
2) Hydrographing... is that it for patterns? was looking for something like HA HA HA (like I said Joker Theme^)
3) With the Cerakote coating is it possible to have it lasered afterwards
4) I see that youre in Menlo GA, how far is that from Augusta? (I live in S.C. but its hop skip and a jump to Augusta)
5) How long does it typically take to perform requested services.

I have a question i am thinking of getting my X7 mag fed phenom done, mix of metal and plastic parts (gun, front shroud, grip, stockm magwell), they all have been spray painted in one way or another, do you guys do a cleaning (sandblasting) of some sort? Thinking of getting it done in digital woodland camo! what about cost estimate as well?

1) We custom blend our colors in house so we can make you any color you need. All we need it a sample color to match.
2) We could use our standard Cerakote finish to do the joker theme color and the text.
3) Yes Cerakote engraves very well. If you plan on getting it engraved please let us know and we will provide a free sample swatch that your engraver can use to setup their machine to engrave the Cerakote.
4) We are quite a ways from Augusta. We are located in the North West corner of Georgia, about 5 minutes from Alabama and 30 minutes from Tennessee.
5) We run all of our customers jobs in batches depending on their color. We have a very large oven and it cost a lot to run it so we have to try and fill it up with as many parts as possible. So the turn around time depends on the color(s) you choose and when we run the next batch of those colors. We are averaging about 2-3 weeks on basic refinishing jobs right now. The Joker theme with text would be a pretty simple job.

Yes we media blast all parts to expose the bare metal (or plastic) and to provide a very light etching for the Cerakote to adhere to as it is a requirement for the Cerakote finish. The costs for this process is included in our prices. However some finishes such as powder coating are thick and must be stripped chemically prior to blasting so we charge a little for for the extra labor. Yes, we can do almost any design or pattern with cerakote.

Yes, it will help and it will not alter the dimensions of the ram.
