My Proflex deflects 1 out of 3 shots without breaking, keeping me in the game longer. I like this look, but can you comment on the deflecting ability? My first assumption is that it will not be very forgiving - breaking every paintball that hits it..

Also, from a legal POV, you may want to tread very carefully as to not assume any sort of liability for these.. Paintball masks must abide by regulations, and must be tested (probably using a specific method - see ASTM F1776 or similar) before going into use. Tampering with them in a way such as this will most definitely void the manufacturer's guarantees - leaving your *** on the line if someone gets injured using it. Just a cautionary note to ensure you do your homework.

I'm not making any guarantees on ASTM compliance. Nor am I selling a mask. I'm simply selling a professionally made component that people have already been making and implementing. You're late to the party with these comments. By about 2 years, despite the expiration date under your avatar. Do a search. Eat some chocolate bananas. Take a porn break or three. Get back to me.

After thinking about it a little last night.

Other things that aren't directly ASTM compliant...

Boat bottoms.
Aftermarket Soft Ears.
Any combination of JT lines that haven't specifically been tested together.
A mask lens that has taken a single, direct hit from a paintball.
A mask lens with a single obvious defect, like a scratch.
Masks older than X years.

I'll fill in this list as I think of more.

ASTM testing does not cover the mask, only the goggles. The Feds don't have anything to do with wearing anything beyond eye protection. Face/ear/etc. coverage (anything beyond eyes) is purely a field insurance concern. Check with the field your playing at before using them there.

I love the look of these. If I ever manage to find a set of goggles that fit again, I'll be getting some of these for them.

Sales have certain implications that I will not elaborate on. You don't make any sense to me with your "2 years" or "expiration date" gibberish, but I was merely trying to ensure you looked into the regs, and it seems that you have. I personally have not, nor do I care to spend my time doing so, and I therefore know very little about regulations applicability, but felt it merited mentioning it since regulations are just about the last thing people tend to think of when making custom work. I apologize that I clearly offended you.

You have a good looking product - good luck selling, I'll reserve my skepticism herein.

...and for the record, I would have taken those 3 porn breaks regardless
