I received and installed my new "Talon" style CF trigger for my Empire AXE from Acid Customs today. I wanted to post some pics and do a quick review for anyone interested. ![]() I had a few issues with this trigger. First, there was about a 3/8" run/streak of epoxy that had leaked out of the bearing and headed towards the front of the trigger. It did not effect performance or hinder the install but looked a bit sloppy. Fortunately, the frame covered it and was not noticeable. (I forgot to take a pic here...oops) Second...and this was a pretty large problem, once installed, the trigger would move freely on the pin to the left of the frame. I could then push it back to the right side. The bearing had not been centered correctly/evenly. This would cause an unnecessary amount of friction between the carbon fiber portion of the trigger and the frame. It felt very rough and made a noticeable amount of noise. I remedied this using a cup washer that had the EXACT ID of the trigger pin and the EXACT OD of the bearing assembly. It fit snugly between the bearing and the frame and perfectly centered the trigger and made for almost NO play from side to side. Here is a pic of the washer I am talking about: ![]() I do not know if this just happened to me (unlucky...?) or maybe a new bearing needs to be used entirely but it looks like if the bearing had been centered, this problem would not have happened. I'm glad I got it fixed but I should not have had to hammer that dang trigger pin out twice! The adjust-ability was easy and gluing the magnet to the noid was easy so I didn't run into any problems there. Once tuned, this trigger is lightning fast and feels much better than the stock trigger and I actually LIKED the stock trigger lol! So that's saying something. Looking forward to some play time now! Here are some better pics for viewing pleasure. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Overall, I am pleased with the look, feel and function of the trigger. I am however, a little disappointed in the finish and the issue I had with the bearing. I am glad I got it fixed fairly easy and without hassle seeing that I had the parts on hand to make the necessary adjustments. I would recommend this to other AXE users but I urge Acid Customs to make the necessary adjustments to their bearing system/installation process before sending a final product to a customer.

The problem with the bearings is an easy fix, what I have done in the past is use a spacer in between the bearings but with the last order I glued the bearings in and they were centred but what I think has happened is when the envelope has gone through the sorting office at USPS the rollers which move the envelopes along at great speed has broken the glue seal and caused the bearing to be moved in. I will put the spacer back in again and this will sort that out. And I am sorry that I missed the leaked epoxy that was on the trigger it wont happen again, I have been doing all the legals for the sell of my house and purchase of the new one the past couple of weeks and have been so business its not funny but this is not an excuse and it will be fixed . I will be sending you a $10 refund for the trouble this has put you through so it will make the trigger even more enjoyable John ACiD Custom
