CF rain cover interest thread

I have gotten a few pm's of interest about the CF rain cover I made for BLachance75

pics in link below
Official CCM Picture Thread

So I figured that I might as well post up an interest thread to see if its worth investing in buying the rather expensive CF stock to make a couple more. I would have to buy enough CF from my supplier to make about 10 so if I get at least 10 interested I'll make another thread for pre ordering (after mod approval of course)

So here is some more info on them. They actually are just rain covers because of the way they trap the gas coming out of the porting it does not really quiet the shot. If you do a bit of research you might be able to find out how to turn it into one but I can't ship it that way.

These would be specifically for DW fibur barrels since that is what I have the design made for right now. I may be able to do other barrels but you would have to provide me with an example to measure. This would be restricted to straight od barrels (like the Fibur)

So is anyone interested?

YES! At least one, maybe two. How do they mount, setscrews?

Yes if you want a tight setup then you can use the set screws but I plan on having a tight fit orings on the caps so if you don't need to unscrew the barrel with the cover then you can just use the friction of the orings to keep it in place.

Oh are the end caps removeable? Or it's one whole piece?

see above post for the mounting options.

as for the price point I would be looking for 75. Again if I was using crappy carbon wrapped fiberglass then I might be able to cut the price a bit but this stuff is the real deal. unidirectional CF layup with a 2x2 twill (what you would see in high end car stuff) overlay.

I also may be able to get it sanded so that it matches the look of the DW barrel.

I'd be interested depending on the price. Do you have a ballpark?

ends are removable. they are held in place via friction fit to another oring on the caps O.D.
