Slight issue with my setup. Its destroyed two CP detents. The first I assumed was maybe due to screwing it in too far (maybe?) but the second one I had in just enough so it stopped a ball that I dropped in. But within 10-20 shots each time the detent just explodes and now I've got two empty detent shells.

Hopefully this is isolated to mine and I can get it replaced. I contacted Gearheadz via Facebook and email today but it was late.

I used a CP detent a few years ago on a cocker. I set it up nice and stuff, but at some point during the first game all of the guts in it disappeared. It was fun watching the paint break in a rifled barrel and having some of the following paint fly in a corkscrew pattern.

TL;DR CP detents aren't worth it.

I've used CP detents in several Angels, cockers and mags - no breaks yet, fingers crossed, but I guess it could happen to some, have there been lots of reports of this? Only detent I launched was a Kila rebuildable; it wasn't rebuildable when it was done, and neither was the delrin bolt in my Diadem.

Any updates on the detent issue? I am concerned about putting it on now just to have it blow out when I pull the trigger.

We talked with Custom Products earlier in the week, it was a fault in their assembly. They are replacing the ones mentioned above.

You should screw it all the way in. The problem with the detent was an issue on the assembly of the detent itself from the manufacturer (CP). We have not had the issue on any other markers in the shop & haven't received feedback from other customers for any other issues.

We've used CP products in our one-off custom builds for the last 4 years, and this is the first time that there's been an issue. The detents in question are being replaced, and we don't anticipate further issues with them - if anyone else does have an issue please do let us know so that we can communicate with CP about it.

Some ule bodies and rails don't fit. You may need to do a "Pim" modification to the rail in order for the body to sit flush where the front frame screw goes through rail and the threaded "Pim" sits in rail
