The hole spacing and angle should be the same, however the holes on the grips are too small for the head of the screws used on a 1911. Any chance of using wood dye to get blue grips? Been wanting some blue wood grips for a long time.

I don't have any plans in the future to work with plastic, it's too messy and dangerous for my current shop setup.
