Wooden Pump Handles

I'm makeing wooden pump handles for Sheridans and possibly other markers in the future. Starting price is $60 and depending on how you want yours shaped/stained and what wood you want the price will change accordingly. Matching grips are also a possibility if you want.
Heres a link to the thread in the Sheridan forum with more info and disscusion about the handles.
Wooden pump handles, gauging interest

NOTE: These handles are made of wood. They are not indestructable. If you buy one please take care of it properly and it should last and make your marker oh so pretty.

Heres a pic of an unfinished one (close enough):

And heres what one looks like on a gun:

curious to what a dark brazillian cherry handle would cost. for a phantom but i'd prefer slightly longer then the norm by maybe 1 inch? just wondering. also would the pump arm hole be reinforced with say a female threaded plug tapped into the handle? or just screwed into the wood?

I've made phantom pump handles out of zebrawood. If you are very careful (choose the right size drill bit, too small is better than too big) about drilling the hole for the pump arm and then counter sinking it for the unthreaded part of the pump arm, the pump arm will cut it's own threads in the wood as you screw it in for the first time. It is then very stable. If that doesn't work or you mess it up, you still have wood left to drill out for an insert. But that has worked great for me.

I'm surprised the delrin back part is needed for the PGP pump. Try drilling a smaller hole so the pump arm threads in tighter?

I'd like one for a P68SC (pretty much the same thing you've made, double length) in Walnut, ribbed like the old aluminum sheridan pump handles.

Quote please.

Phantom Mikey:
The resin back plate for the PGP is for strength when you bend the rod back to attach it to the bolt. With out that plate the wood tends to brake fairly easily. It also makes for stronger threads to screw the rod into instead of just wood.

I sent you a PM

I'll have to get back to you on the brazillian cherry. To be honest I'm not even sure if I have access to that and I dont have a phantom to test fit or a stock handle to use for specs so I'm not sure about that either.

Ahhh, very good. I only made one for my phantom, so that wasn't an issue.

Kudos to you for bringing new paintball products to market.
