I'm also going to experiment with some "matte" finishes, using plain linseed oil. I used this on the first incarnation of the Tempest stock. Came out really nice and classic looking.

| MCB Member  Join Date: Mar 2006 Location: Maryland | PMI_wood_grips_01 - MCB Gallery I sent the man a pair of ex-rental PMI wood grips and look what he did. The grips are finished in gloss Black Cherry. Jason didnot remove the numbers completely since I wanted to keep things "numbers matching" with the marker. The final pic does not do Jason justice. I will be sending him some more work in the future. Thanks Jason!
