I would bet it had something to do with no more 55 cal black maxxs being made. They were marketed as 200 round hoppers for the 55 cal rounds. There was also big talk about a motorized version of the sportshot being made if the 55 caliber rounds were a success. Now that the 55 cal maxx is no longer being made or used really its kind of a useless mold. Well not to us players but to big companies that need to sell units in the hundreds or thousands. Perhaps they will fire up the machines again and make more but as it is I really dont care for my sportshot and would rather use the APP loader.

Oh yeah thats why I posted after all.

I just found my APP loader from way back, mine has indian springs stamped into it but im willing to bet that the molds are nearly identical. The full lid assembly and retainer on mine is still in amazingly good condition. I must have had that for well over 18 years now. It still flex's like it did back when it was new.

If these are still made the same way which I can feel pretty confident about then they will be one of the longest lasting hoppers out there. I love the idea that they are single piece hoppers, no paint to spray in when it hits the mold seam and ruin your good paint.

Im glad your selling these titus.
