Has anyone made a smaller freak case?

I think the size of the freak case is ridiculous. Has anyone made something smaller that still protects the inserts? I usually go to the field and store my guns with the barrels attached so I would just need something to protect the inserts.

I was thinking some PVC could be used pretty easily.

I used to use a small zip up case. It was like 6"x6" and was for storing your extra laptop bay accessory (CD/ DVD drive). Something like this would probably work

I have a much bigger box now. It's actually larger than the stock freak case but way stronger and more useful. 2 layers. The bottom holds all my various backs and tips and the top holds a couple more and ~10 inserts. If I remember I'll take a pic when I get home.

I found a Plano plastic watertight case at Walmart a few years back, holds 5 or 6 tubes the way I have it set-up (can hold more with thinner foam padding). also has some room for marker oil at the end ot the tubes (about 1.5" longer than tubes).
Gimme a minute and I'll try to find it.

looks like this -

Plano Guide series 1450 watertight case
can't seem to find it on walmart.com though.

The DYE Boombox is pretty cool and effective. It holds 6 pieces (minimum), and can hold a few different tip lengths.

best case ever. I made it from a 100 round throw away pod and 2 pieces of memory foam. With the memory foam at the top and bottom, everything stays put with no rattles. All seven inserts fit in the pod.

I've got a soft case that was custom made for me a while back...

It folds and rolls up.

Bah...how many do you need in the field at one time? I use an old version of this and it's perfect: Stainless Steel 3 Cigar Pocket Case - NEW - eBay (item 390254700156 end time Nov-20-10 11:19:50 PST)

Here's what I did. Not smaller at all but has everything I need plus some more. The case is pretty close to indestructable (I can stand on it with no worries at all).
