This is a detailed tutorial on how to make a P90 Ion. ~Step 1~ ~Get the parts~ Here is a detailed list of parts you will need. -Smart parts ion http://www.amazon.com/Smart-Parts-Io.../dp/B0014XCAQY -Well d90f p90 WELL D90F AEG Auto Electric Sub Machine Gun Airsoft P90 | eBay -CP "shorty" regulator CP Shorty Style Regulator -Remote coil Ninja Air Paintball Coil Remote Hose With Slide Check | eBay -CP 16" barrel (or use the stock if you don't want the silencer) Custom Products 1 Piece Barrel - 16 Inch Black Dust -Long ion hoses Ion Hose Kit - Macrolineguy.com -microswitch eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices -thread saver Co2 and HPA Tank Valve Protector -foam (get some at Joanne fabrics) -small metal plates (Home depot) -small guage wire (also at Home depot) -super-duper glue (walmart :P ) ~Tools -tap and die set (3/32") -Dremel -Soldering Iron Step 2 Hollow out the airsoft shell The first thing you need to do is take all of the airsoft parts from the p90 and throw them away. Then, using the dremel, hollow out the shell, avoiding all screw holes as you possibly can. (a few have to go though) Dremel a small hole near the back for the remote line fill nipple to come out. Also dremel a hole for the feedneck. My feed neck is at about 75 degrees. (slightly angled) (dremel the magazine for the feedneck if you're planning to put that back on the gun) Be sure to insert your ion firing can (with barrel attached) to make sure you've removed enough plastic. ONLY remove what is nessessary! ![]() Step 3 Soldering and tapping Tap a 3/32 hole into your thread saver for the banjo, insert an o-ring into the thread saver, then screw it on to the cp regulator. On the board, Take off the longest of the hoses and replace it with an 8" inch long hose. Lengthen the battery wire by about 5 inches. Take some wires and the microswitch and solder the bottom two tabs on the board (behind the board switch) to the bottom two tabs on the microswitch. ![]() ![]() ![]() Step4 Everything else Unscrew the fill nipple from the remote line's gun attachment and screw it into the cp regulator. Take a chunk of foam, cut a hole through it and slide it over the cp reg. (to stabalize it) Drill two holes in each side of the p90 shell and put the small metal plates one the inside of each shell, then screw them down. (this is optional and is just used for a little extra durability) Super Glue the microswitch right behind the trigger. Drill two holes in the side of the shell (one for the power switch, one for the board settings switch) Assemble the internals as shown in the pictures. ![]() FINISHED! ![]() For optional Silencer:Wrap elecrical tape around a non-ported part of your barrel till it is a little less than an inch in diameter then slide a 7" long by 1" diameter pvc pipe onto the barrel. (make sure its tight) Spray paint the pvc with some black krylon fusion. ![]() |
