Well you can do it two ways. Put terry cloth in the location you want and sew it in.Or go to walmart and buy the pre quilted stuff and sew that in.
Later,

They are pretty simple in design. The way I have seen others make similar products is close to how I do mine, but not quite the same. They all work pretty much the same though. You only have to look at one to figure out the basic construction... top piece (trimmed or not) and a band sewn to one edge (centered). Padding or sweat strips are optional.

Bingo... you now know how to make a ban-du. Of course I will not provide step by step instructions and fabric dimensions, but those are not needed for the basic item anyways. Folks can use what they have on hand and put one together without much effort. I feed my family and pay bills with what I make from making/selling ban-dus and other items so that is about all I can/will say on the matter.

I've bought several of Sam's Bandus and for $15 you can't go wrong, especially considering the wide variety of materials he has on hand.

Thank you. Yes, buying one is really the way to go IMHO unless you already have the extra fabric on hand. To do it right you need at least a yard and a half of fabric and then if you are making only ONE, you end up with a lot of scrap. It depends on how much you want to put into them with sweat strips, binding, etc. it can nickel and dime you for only ONE ban-du. Plus the time to make it. For most folks it is just easier to buy one already made right.... again, unless you already have the fabric on hand.

There will always be a market for pre-made items and those who want to make the items themselves. Heck, I am making my own paintball vest out of Multicam, but I could buy one. Granted, I am not the average person sitting at home plugging away with their wife's/mother's sewing machine, but it shows that no matter what the product is there will be some who choose for one reason or another to make it themselves.

We should not, of course, expect those who make the items as a business to just hand over their plans/designs for the item though. LOL And in that respect I think I have been more than gracious with my posting.

Hey Sam,

If I was to ask for just a head band and not the head covering portion - what would the price be?

I LOVE, LOVE my two Bandu's.

Which reminds me. I NEED to do my review of your products. I have pics - just need to do it.

Thank you. It is not a standard item so it would depend on a few factors. Shoot me off an e-mail (sales@blackleafoutfitters.com) and we can talk about it.
