The general idea behind this is to allow an awesome sexy pistol like feel without completely breaking the bank. I want to use as many readily available parts as possible.

Pretty much everyone has or at least had a phantom at one point. They are easy to get, inexpensive, well made and efficient. Remember how I always say if you are worried about efficiency, buy a phantom; they have 25+ years of development behind them. Mine do NOT. Here's your chance with one of my markers! lol.

Since phantoms are damn near everywhere I decided to go with it.

I am planning to offer:
  • slides only
  • a slide and grip kit, and
  • a complete gun, built

As CJ said, it can be used with:
  • BBA
  • dropout and
  • possibly vertical bottle*
(*the prototype slide is not slotted for a side tap, but it can be. The only reason I say "possibly vertical bottle" is that I am not sure just how much clearance the fittings need. I probably should have ordered one of those too lol.)

The in grip air frame is as close to 1911 spec as I can get it and still fit things in. It should take any 1911 grips that are out there. It uses a CCI bucket changer instead of a plug since they give you the ability open in 1 turn. I am not going to mess around with cutting ACME threads since I would have to farm it out. The bucket works and is cheap as dirt (in effect). It actually forms the back strap of the grip. This version will have a bobbed valve to match up with the back of the slide as you see it.

The stock phantom parts used are
  • barrel
  • body
  • valve unless going with in grip air
  • ALL body internals
  • CCI SC feed tubes

On the in-grip air, the valve will be a CCI valve, bobbed and ported for the in grip air connection. I'll have them in raw and in my favorite color.

Since no two people have the same wants and needs with regards to feed type, I will likely offer them in left, right and center feed.

The grip tape is pocketed into the side to add a bit of detail to it. You can take it off, replace it, or ditch it. I added it for a bit of grip, and a little contrast with the black of the delrin. Hell you can replace them with pink if you wanted to.

More later as I machine more parts and make refinements to the designs.

I haven't done anything with the frames yet, but that doesn't affect the slides. They will have individual pricing and buying them together will not affect the price...

For more details, see post 77 in the thread: Dukie Slide Pump (DSP) - New Project

Maybe Duckieslide? Very very neat indeed. Make you wonder if this is a precursor to what CJ has planned.

On a second look, it appears to be more Duck like than the actual Duckslide is. How does the work with the valve input?

Nice Dukie. I like how the feed tube is stationary.

Edit - CJ keeps adding more pics. How difficult is it to field strip?

He just needs to whip up some matching one-piece feeds. Not that there's anything wrong with the CCI ones, but I'd love something with similar lines on top.

edit: i also don't need the grip tape.

General release will be in delrin. I *may* do some in aluminum for general release as well, but don't hold your breath. It will doulbe the cost or more. It takes considerably longer to cut than delrin.

Very nice, can you incorporate the same 12 gram system as you have on the DSG? I.e. almost like what Solex did with his pistol?
