Dundadun's DLG Before:

After I did a little work on it:
It holds 11 +1 in the chamber, feeds all but 1 ball.
Internal check valve and devolumized chamber with baffles to help vaporize the liquid CO2.
30 shots from a 12 gram. (set to 280 fps @ 70 degrees) with no pressure retained by the check valve behind the pierce pin.
Trigger is one piece Stainless Steel from a PTP Automag frame.
Rear grip started life as a walnut AR-15 grip. Front grip is a custom one piece walnut.




.678" I.D. brass barrel stock from TyMcneer,black delrin 1" outer sleeve and brass front bead sight.












Spring follower is retained by a brass sleeve






Mag to barrel clamp started out as a solid block.
It is the loading "funnel", secures the outer magazine tube to the barrel and retains the inner spring/plunger tube via an internal groove that catches the O-ring on the knurled front plug.






Stock bolt has a small port.





I replaced the tail of the bolt with some thinwall brass tube.

The washer under the valve spring was too large to fit in the smaller chamber and
The spring was wobbly on the valve so it gets a brass "tophat"


Removing and installing the valve is a lot easier now.


A ball bearing and a spring behind the pierce pin serves as an internal check valve.
This captures the chamber pressure during 12 gram changes giving you an extra shot or two per 12 gram.
It reduces the amout of CO2 released at the pierce pin during 12 gram changes , fewer seal blowouts.
It reduces the flow of liquid CO2 into the valve chamber when the gun is carried with the muzzle pointing down.

The unthreaded tip of the pin is faced off and countersunk slightly to accept the ball.

Ah, I saw thic of what looked like a barrel and it looked to me like it was just a bushing on the end. I'm talking about the oic with your nick written in the back ground. What is that?

I can't wait to see this in person! Smiley hasn't mentioned every little thing he has done either.
Check valves and baffles to reduce liquid inside since the holster points the gun down.
Tymcneer tight bore brass barrel stock, delrin cover sleeve with front sight.
Sled cover, keeps the sled in place and lets it be a handhold if wanted.
Custom clamp, keeps the wood handle is place and holds the magazine tube in.
and custom bolts among other things

What pump arm ? you mean the lever linkage cover on the bottom ?

No its like a Fusion Proglide but the vibration keeps the fluid in your balls stirred up

I like it! I was skeptical at first but it's come a long way... Still a bit iffy about the grip, though I understand the motivations and constraints that come with the gun as far as that goes. Mostly I like the little ideas like the bolt modification, and the feed plunger. I've got some delrin rod in my toolbox, I may wind up robbing that plunger idea for my own

Iffy about the feel, the look or the stability? It is a modified m16 grip, so that will be a familiar feel. The look of the grip as far as angle goes is something I'm willing to concede, feel/function over form. Rifle angles I just can't get used to without a full stock. The stability will be fine too, the inside washer on the brass plate will actually be the thing holding the most weight. And that is set into the 'hole' in the back of the body. All the bolts just keep it in place.

As much as this is my homage to Josh Randall's gun, I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of looks so that it is a bit more useful and competitive on the field.
