If were still open to ideas, I say something like the rap4 pistols but... better. .68 better. like with a working slide and all that other stuff. it could even use tpx mags

In all seriousness, what I really want is essentially a semi-auto DSG. Not necessarily patterned that way, but a 12-gram-powered, springfed gun that can take more than 10 rounds of paint and mount a stock.

Sorry it took me so long to come back here!

I wasn't thinking of it as a full clamshell. Using a DRV gripframe with hammer would leave you only needing a body with a sideplate. The barrel could be whatever.

Alot of $1250 ego11s are going out the door at eclipse to folks with Ego10s, I think you'd be surprised.

Resin cast firefly stunt pistols sold out at $200 each before I could get one and I'm pretty quick on the draw!

I would continue MY leap, $1500 or no....

but I understand!

I could stick tpx guts in a dsg shaped body. That would do it.

Its doable.. It all depends on if you are looking for a revolver or mag fed.

That firefly pistol is a double action mag fed and uses a forward mag like the broomhandle mauser posted by Spinalmath only not ugly. I'd make my own shortened mags, I'd just want the front magwell made for TPX mags.
If the front proportions make the magwell too short to lock the TPX mags, I could make full custom mags.

The movie version would be the best choice, IMO. The mags in the show had a ring on them:

The mags are shown well in this pic:

The TPX valve and reg should fit well in the body, IMO.

^^^a DRV with a tpx mag well instead of a cylinder?

Yes. Oh my. yes.
As much as I loved the drv, I could not get myself to love a rotating cylinder with choppable ammo.

Plan B was to use those long screws you see to clamp the gun together, then the rear could be a tube for valve and reg to slide into and the front could be housing for tippmann breech with hexagon shroud for the stock barrel. That's really what I wanted, but there's no Dukie around here! This would probably allow for a stabilizer instead of the stock reg... This in aluminum would not be heavy, I'd make short mags, easier than lengthening them! Any bottom plate will do. I have no real worry about mag capacity. I would say I passed that point a while ago. Two of my friends would only let me use my zeus if I carried it with no mag. Loading one at a time teaches you tricks I guess. These would be used the first sunday of each month at the Hell Survivors pump and pistol day and maybe some big game mission runs.

Of course I'll be needing them as a brace, so there's two orders already! Especially if it's plan B, that really would be the coolest and easiest to machine as well.

Dueling pistols...... rampage pistols.....first strike pistols.....

It's late I'm drunk but I'm going to post it anyways.

See that bolt that goes into the body under the barrel? Would it be feasible to have the TPX mag go in that way?

If not **** you guys, I like it. Slab side "revolver" with in grip 12 gram.
