If the front proportions make the magwell too short to lock the TPX mags, I could make full custom mags.

The movie version would be the best choice, IMO. The mags in the show had a ring on them:

The mags are shown well in this pic:

The TPX valve and reg should fit well in the body, IMO.

Rob
You are going to get 2-3 balls per mag

Keep in mind a drv frame is single action, not double. If I ditch the hammer and just use a tpx triggering valve then it can be a "double action". At least in as much it will fire when you pull the trigger.. It could just have a cosmetic hammer then.

How are you planning on shortening the mags? Cutting the bottom off and making a new bottom? Won't work very well without the ball retainer at the top.

Yes. Oh my. yes.
As much as I loved the drv, I could not get myself to love a rotating cylinder with choppable ammo.
A direct springfeed and no silly revolving mechanism makes much more sense. I only made them because people said they wanted them. hell I think a hopper makes the most sense from a simplicity standpoint lol.

It's late I'm drunk but I'm going to post it anyways.

See that bolt that goes into the body under the barrel? Would it be feasible to have the TPX mag go in that way?

If not **** you guys, I like it. Slab side "revolver" with in grip 12 gram.

doesn't really matter, its just a springfeed. Where you run into trouble is raising them up around the corner. i have had an idea for a couple of years but have yet to try it.

I know I've got a horse late in this race, but howsa bout a 30rd hopper intergrated gun. Like the k1 only smaller and better. I like the idea of a mag fed body for automag guts. It would look alot like a Tek9 I think.

Strangely enough I had a request for something similar just the other day lol. But it was his idea so I won't spill the beans. I'm not involved other than to give him some ideas.

My vote is for either a double barrel DSG that looks and functions similar to a Kel-tec KSG, or a side by side crack barrel shotgun. Kinda like the mad max shotgun.

You do realize lapco will be coming out with a break action double barrel shotgun in a year or so, right. Do a search for the max boom on here. It was developed by the damage inc. guys I believe.

How about an auto trigger on the DSG so that you can hold the trigger down and fire a shot with each pump?

No, that would be kinda lame for a sc gun. You would probably chop paint to. I would love to see dukies take on the tpx mag system...

Ooo, I 2nd that! Don't own one but would actually go out and BUY a used TPX if there was a reliable source to get a set of a couple 15-20round high-capacity mags...
