Dukie, quick question: what would be the cost for this custom configuration?

How does the grip frame compare with the grip frame on the Retro7? I got to hold Snaparen's Retro7 this past weekend and loved the feel of it. I like the phantom grip frame but my biggest complaint is that I wish it was a little bit thicker. I am interested in the full DSP with slide and 12gram in grip frame. Now these can take phantom barrels I presume so would a deadly winds barrel be possible to use on these?

I don't know exactly how thick the retro frame is. I held harb's at EMR once and all I can really remember is that it felt different lol. I don't even remember if it had panels on it.

The DSP frame is 1" thick without panels and is actually pretty comfortable to me without panels. With wrap arounds its closer to 1-3/8" thick. I prefer it with the hogue wrap arounds.

Apparently I have very average hands. I designed it to feel good in my hands and pretty much everyone that holds it agrees that it feels right.

The slide has a delrin bushing that screws into the front that guides the slide on the barrel. It has enough clearance to fit a CCI barrel. I will also have one for 1" od barrels. Since I won't have everyones barrels to fit perfectly it will have to be user fitted. IE unscrew it and sand out the ID to suit your particular conditions. Its only delrin and its removable so its pretty easy to do. If your deadly winds is the same or larger than a phantom barrel , smaller than 1" and has a STRAIGHT outer profile you should be good to go.

It's very comfy to hold with hogue wrap arounds and unlike other phantom 45 frames my fingers don't want to bunch together. If you like thicker frames you'll like this one.

Btw how's it going with the rain cover?

You'll actually get the frame once you order it.

Hahaha, all kidding aisde the DSP frame is incredible. It feels absolutely fantastic in the hand and up until a month ago I wasn't even using grips on mine. I currently have a set of pearce wrap around with some hogue palm swells over top....it's ****ing insanely comfy.

I had the chance to fondle the prototype at EMR this weekend.

And now it's going to be even harder to wait for mine to be completed!
