Hammer7 mods

In relation to the dmag bolt action thread:

I think the hammer7 needs some fun improvements

For starters the 45 frame just looks odd.....

An adapter to allow you to use most AR grips on a hammer7. You can't neccesarily use grips (without modification) that normally fit over the curve above the grip mount on an AR since the curve doesn't exist on the hammer 7. Nor is there space to add it to the adapter. It wouldn't line up with the trigger any more.

Its a permamnent mod, but if you added a CCI 45 adapter you could still go back to a 45.

I haven't modded the frame to mount it yet, but I will tackle that on Tuesday.

It will be a purchased part, with a DIY install that should be pretty idiot proof. Only requiring a drill, hacksaw and file. It should also yield a clean install without too much effort.

Anyone Interested?

More fun things to come. The hammer7 needs expansion

Dukie and the H7!Now I'm excited
Great idea for a 1st simple mod, could see this being very popular considering the H7 is a great modifiable marker

A springfeed is easy. I already make those, just not for the hammer7

I have ideas o the breech.

Drop in semi kit. Lol that's not going to happen.

working on it already.

how about this for fun?

You can't exactly put a tank in there any more, but it means you can use an AR stock on it. Pop a hole in the bottom of the buffer tube and you could put a 90 degree fitting in to bring your CO2 in again. Or just use it as a straight ASA.

(Thats a mock up. its still the original angled asa inside and I borrowed the nut)

Dude!

I want something similar to that. But I would like it to drop the tank down 2" from one of the strait rear ASAs and keeps it horrizontal...

Perfect for all those air in stock magfed guns!

I could make one like that but it wouldn't be an asa any longer. You wouldn't be able to use an asa fitting with an offset like that. It would unscrew every time you shouldered it.

It would end up more being a valve body with an offset plate and an asa attached to that. Then a sidetap between both. It could be routed internally I suppose as well.

Any interest in that?

Yes!

My basic non machinist brain thought of an adapter that looks vaugly like an ikea Allen key. One end goes into the existing ASA. The other end has female ASA threads to accept the tank. With the air line inside some how.

This would allow me or anyone else to shoulder these milsim guns with a tank and mask on

Oh, I see what you are saying...

Hmmm I wonder how we could "lock " it in place?
