What is the deal with the DM14?

Is there a reason why people sell them off as soon as they get them? I see tons of them being sold used with only a case or two through them. I am on a b/s/t page on facebook and the most popular gun seams to be used dm14's.

Gotta sell 'em fast while there's still a little value left.

Because its a DM. The series maxed out its potential years ago in terms of performance. Each new generation has new looks (sometimes), ergonomics, and other little bits. Each year players buy it hoping for that drastic leap of improvement and each year are disappointed.

There's a really limited supply. Even ANS Gear only got like two or three. Local store only got one because they went to the tech class at Cup.

Also this is the first year in a while that Dye's made a semi-radical change to their gun.

Limited supply doesn't explain why people are dumping them at a 200-300 loss left and right. I was hoping somebody who had one and sold it off could let me know why they jumped ship.

All I know is what I've seen in passing - that they're heavier than previous models, and the ASA has plastic parts and a pin that snaps.

People buy them for lower than retail then sell them..

Haven't heard any negative comments on them yet. We will know for sure later on just like we have with other guns in the past

This.

Most of those markers you see were purchased at dealer prices. They sold out at Cup in something like 45min. Which means there are far more out there than the 10 or so you spot on Nation. The other thing you should consider is that most people do not actually have over $1000 to drop on a marker on Nation, I know as a dealer I sat on a DAM for almost 6 months trying to sell it when it was totally new to the market.

I ordered a DM14 earlier this week, I've owned Dye for a long time so I'll report back on what I think.

I'm interested in what you have to think. I am going to Extravaganza at the end of this month and am taking the DM/PM tech class.

I hope that this pans out well for DYE since I feel that the DM is a fairly sholid platform and that the 14's look pretty sharp
