Just out of curiosity, are you able to reach around the boxrotor and hold the handguard comfortably?

hand guard

I run a 90 so the back of my marker is long. would stretch me out a bit. but I just picked up a small magpul vertical grip going to see how that feels

Looks fun. I wonder if adjusting the tension setting in the Boxmag would make it better on fragile paint.

It might, but there very little adjustment there. It is really intended for adjusting feed issues. It is best not use fragile paint in the BR; you will be happer if you don't.
